Leia's been involved in the fertility world for the past seven years.  She's been an egg donor, a surrogate, and a fertility consultant.   The path to parenthood can be long and difficult.  Leia often talks about how much it means to her to be able to help so many amazing people become parents.   She's been there for many births, and has helped many intended parents  build their family, whether it be through egg donation, or gestational surrogacy.  

She's dedicated herself to helping intended parents navigate the complex and often unclear laws around alternative family-building options.   She's the last person you'd expect to be the subject of an RCMP investigation.  She's devastated, she's scared, but she's committed to defending whatever allegations they make against her.
